Hi Tandrima,

I have seen this question about salary deduction in your last thread also. But I didn't get a response from you how does your client decide about how much salary deduction will happen.

In time evaluation, you can't deduct salary. You can only capture information if the employee has been late or left early by more than 5 mins or not and if the employee has taken more than 30 min break.

So here are the questions which you should ask client:

  • If the client is late by 10 mins, how much salary deduction are you going to do and what is the basis of calculation of this salary deduction?
  • Same goes for early going and extra breaks

I will now tell you what is possible.

You can generate time wage types for the period the person is late or has left early or taken extra breaks and feed those min/hrs into a wage type.

This wage type can then be evaluated during payroll run against hourly rate or a constant valuation to determine the salary deduction.

Please kindly advise on the bullet points.

Thanks and regards,

Vivek Barnwal
